For sale is a vintage souvenir/merchandise that would have been originally sold to visitors at the HMS Victory ship museum in Portsmouth. This finely made badge shows an image of the ship along with its name. The badge is in excellent condition.

HMS Victory was a 104 gun warship commissioned by the Royal Navy in 1778 but is more famously remembered as Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. After serving in various campaigns, HMS Victory served as a prison ship from 1813 to 1817 but as the hull deteriorated various patch repairs were carried out and eventually put into dry dock in 1822, later to be refloated in 1824 as a Port Admiral's ship and Royal Naval school. The ship had come close to being broken up during the 19th century but public outcry and intevention of royal monarchs from Queen Victoria to King George V ensured the ship's preservation. From then until the present day, HMS Victory has undergone continual restoration and preservation.
