Vintage Hamilton

Lovely vintage Hamilton Thin-O-Matic automatic, presented in a classic gold-tone case with matching Hamilton mesh bracelet.

This is a particularly attractive example with a silver/champagne dial, applied gold hour markers and hands, date window at 3 o’clock and the distinctive Thin-O-Matic script above 6.

The watch has been freshly serviced and is running extremely well. The 629 microrotor movement is showing approximately -1 sec/day, a very healthy 292° amplitude and 0.1 ms beat error on the timegrapher demonstrating the excellent condition of the movement following servicing.

The dial is original and shows visible age-related spotting/patina, which I have tried to capture clearly in the photographs.

The case and caseback also show normal marks from decades of use and a previous owner not knowing its a front loader, but overall it presents beautifully on the wrist.

The domed crystal and slim profile give it a great vintage look.

A beautiful, elegant vintage Hamilton that is ready to wear and, importantly for a watch of this age, has just had the expense of a service taken care of.
