In 1959, Hartleys was acquired by Schweppes who in 1964 formed a new subsidiary called Chivers-Hartley, bringing together the various products of the Chivers and Hartleys brands. Since 1962, production of Hartley's products have taken place at Histon in Cambridgeshire. The London factory was opened at Bermondsey in 1901.
