The Daily Sketch League of Youth was a children's club established in the early 1930's and run by the Daily Sketch and Sunday Graphic newspapers. The badge shows the club's initials D.S. (Daily Sketch) and motto RES NON VERBA (Actions not Words). Membership cost 1/- (one shilling) and members were encouraged to do good deeds, be respectful to others and kind to animals. League members could also be awarded the Daily Sketch Medal of Honour for outstanding achievements in acts of bravery, self-sacrifice to help others, life saving, etc.

The club would have ended around the time of the outbreak of WW2 in 1939.

Size: 3/4" x 1" (19mm x 25mm).
Material(s): Brass metal with 2 vitreous enamels.
Finish: Tin plated.
Fitting: Pin.
Imprint: THOMAS FATTORINI LTD. B'HAM. Also, supporting newspaper names DAILY SKETCH AND SUNDAY GRAPHIC.
Approximate age: 1930's.

CONDITION:
A very good condition metal and enamel badge. No damage, pin tight and in good working order.
