For sale is an enamel badge issued by THE INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT to delegates attending their 1969 Annual Conference, held in Bristol.
THE INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT (IoT) was established in 1919 and today, their work is carried on by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK). The IoT was Britain’s membership organisation for professionals involved in the movement of goods and people as well as their associated supply chains. The IoT would also have had its own library, organised networking, professional education, training and relevant professional qualifications for its members as well as seeking to ensure high professional standards and disseminating methods of best practise.
The IoT held annual conferences and issued badges to attending delegates.
