For sale is a vintage enamelled prize medal (plaque) and inscribed on the back SNOOKER LEAGUE R.U. 1959. This medal was issued by the London Telecommunications Region Amateur Sports Association (LRT ASA).

The London Telecommunications Regions (LTR) were formed in 1936 when telephone and telegraph services were organised and they remained part of the British GPO until the early 1980's. In 1981 the LRT became part of British Telecom which was later privatised in 1984 and became British Telecommunications plc.

There were 10 Regions and the London Region comprised of eleven area divisions. membership of he LRT ASA was drawn from these divisions and membership was by annual subscription at a modest fee. Activities of the LRT ASA includes a varied range of activities, athletics and sports.
