For sale is a delegate's medal issued by the MANCHESTER UNITY of ODD FELLOWS (MUOF). This type of medal would have been issued to a member of the MUOF when they attended their first Annual Moveable Conference (AMC). This medal displays the MUOF's Three Link emblem along with their motto AMICITA AMOR ET VERITAS (Friendship, Love & Truth), which themselves represent the three links. This medal has the F&S maker's stamp of Fattorini & Sons Ltd.

The MUOF was established in 1810 as a Friendly Society and are still active today offering savings and a wide range of financial services. The MUOF are one of the few remaining Friendly and Mutual Benefit societies which had adapted and evolved to the position they now occupy in the world of financial services. It was with the development of the National Health Service and Social Welfare system in Britain after 1948 that the role of Friendly and Mutual Benefit societies declined.

Size: about 1 7/32" width (31mm). Overall length including both sections is about 3 1/16" (78mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 2 vitreous enamels & woven cloth ribbon.
Finish: gilt.
Fitting: suspension ring, ribbon & a pin clasp.
Imprint: F&S (Fattorini & Sons Ltd of Birmingham)
Approximate age: 1950's to 1970's.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Pin in working order.
