For sale is a scarce souvenir/merchandise badge showing the PADDLE STEAMER 'WAVERLEY' in its original livery. These badges would originally have been sold to visitors and passengers on the Waverley. Since 2003, the P. S. Waverley has been listed in the National Historic Fleet (National Historic Ships UK) as "a vessel of pre-eminent national importance".

The P.S. Waverley was built in 1947 for the LNER railway company to replace the previous Waverley sunk in 1940 during the troops evacuations at Dunkirk. Today, the Waverley is the only remaining operational seagoing paddle steamer ship left in the world. In 1973, the Waverley was acquired by the Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd (CalMac) who deemed the ship too costly to run and abandoned it at Loch Long in Scotland. Declining into a derelict state, the Waverley was was purchased by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society (PSPS) in 1974, who set about a full restoration and make the ship fully operational again. Today, the P.S. Waverley is still owned and maintained by the PSPS, who offers coastal excursions around Britain during certain months of the year.
