Vintage Efrico Automatic – 25 Jewels – 1970s

A beautiful example of a German vintage automatic wristwatch from the 1970s, preserved in exceptionally good condition.

Efrico was a German watch brand associated with Erich Fröhlich, based in Conweiler, Germany. Its history dates back to at least the 1950s.

This watch is powered by the German-made PUW 1561 automatic movement, featuring 25 jewels and operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The watch has a distinctive stainless steel cushion-shaped case, a beautifully finished silver dial with vertical brushing, applied hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock.

Its original thick crystal adds to the unmistakable character of a 1970s wristwatch.

Condition

The watch is in exceptional cosmetic and mechanical condition, showing very little evidence of wear.

It was already running well before receiving some careful attention and maintenance. No parts needed replacing, and its original components have been preserved.

The movement is now running beautifully, and all functions, including automatic winding and the date mechanism, work as they should.

The original thick crystal, beautifully preserved dial and distinctive stainless steel case make this a particularly attractive example of a 1970s wristwatch.

A lovely piece of German watchmaking history that would make a fine addition to a vintage watch collection.
