For sale is a blood donor badge issued by the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service (SBTS). This badge would have been awarded by the SBTS for a blood donation. The badge displays the SBTS logo of a blue cross and title. This logo is still in use with the SBTS.

The SBTS was established by the Ministry of Health in 1946 to coordinate regional blood donation services across Scotland. Scotland, along with Wales and Northern Ireland continue to run their own separate blood donor services.

Size: about 1/2" x 3/4" (12.5mm x 19mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 1 enamel.
Finish: tin wash (very thin plating).
Fitting: pin.
Imprint: J. R. GAUNT LONDON
Approximate age: about late 1950's to early 1970's.

CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Pin in working order. Some wear to the tin wash.
